The five towns surrounding the Piller Lake have have united to form a year-round holiday region, that doesn't only excite winter sport fans. The Piller Lake Valley lies in the north-east of Tyrol, at the borders of Salzburg (state) and Bavaria. In short, a diverse destination, ideal for holidays with the family, storeybook landscapes paired with modern recreational facilities. The ski region Schneewinkl offers winter sports fan 170 diverse kilometres of piste. The region has also made a name for itself in cross-country and biathlon. A special attraction is the guest biathlon, which takes place every Thursday in Hochfilzen. The Pillersee Valley offers a lot of fun, on and off-piste. The idyllic town of Fieberbrunn (790 m) lies in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. As the largest in the Pillersee Valley, there are free busses available daily to take you to all surrounding villages. Fieberbrunn impresses with its traditional charm, modern gondolas and dreamy pistes, which have something special for every ski fan. Off-piste, the holidaymaker has a broad spectrum of recreational activities, from paragliding right to a whole sauna village. The town is bedded in the gorgeous landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Wilder Kaiser. After a long day on the piste, you can stop in at one of the apres ski bars or restaurants.

| For anyone wanting to explore several ski regions straight away, we recommend the "Kitzbüheler Alpen" lift pass, which grants access to the Kitzbühel, Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, Schneewinkel, Alpbachtal and Wildschönau ski regions. 704 kilometres of piste provide unlimited fun! The Kitzbühel Alps are a sea of peaks without glaciers. Every winter sports fan gets his money's worth in this region: countless cross-country runs, facilities for snowboarders, fantastic downhill runs of all levels, a lot of variety on the pistes and marvellous off-piste slopes. |
