Ski holidays Döllach - holiday pleasure for young & old!

The Großglockner high alpine road leads you through the marvellous landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Here, north-west of Carinthia, lie Heiligenblut and Döllach. This is where the first ascent of the Großglockner started out from, which at 3,798 m is the highest mountain in Austria. Even today the region is regarded as the cradle of alpinism. Due to its height (1,300 - 2,900 m) and its location on the main chain of the Alps, the Heiligenblut ski region guarantees snow security until far into the spring. The intermediate runs make the region an ideal holiday destination for sporty skiers and families alike. Döllach - holiday pleasure for young & old!

Nestled in one of the largest nature reserves in Central Europe lies the idyllic community of Grosskirchheim with the small town of Döllach (1,024 m). The ski area of Heiligenblut is only approx. 9 km away. Skiiers and snowboarders are sure to get their money's worth here. Anyone looking for off-piste variety has various recreational activities in Döllach to choose from. From a skating rink to tobogganing runs, right through to walkways and hiking trails; there's something for everyone. Snowy forests, cleared winter hiking paths and cross-country trails invite you to partake in romantic strolls or tour along the mountain rivers. The conviviality in Döllach is especially loved, and you can spoil yourself with culinary treats.

The Hochpuster Valley encompasses 10 ski areas. The local ski area at the Großglockner offers 55 kilometres of pistes and 13 lift systems, which advance up to an altitude of 2,912 m. More than 60 snow cannons also ensure additional snow security. The large proportion of red pistes, numerous freerider and deep snow areas, and not least of all because of the difficult accessibility of the easy runs, mean the ski area is especially suited for advanced skiers and pros.
The "Muldenabfahrt" trough run is the most difficult run of the ski area and should be reserved for advanced skiers!
Snowboarders are enticed to daring activities in the Terrainpark at the Tauernberg. With the great Carinthia and East Tyrol lift pass you can explore 34 ski areas within the region. In approx. 30 minutes by car you can reach the next ski areas, such as the Mölltal Glacier with 50 kilometres of piste, 10 lift systems, the fun park with a half-pipe and boardercross, or the Lienz ski area with 80 km of prepared pistes and 24 lift systems.
