Ski holidays Obergurgl/Hochgurgl - top of Ötztal!

Few alpine valleys have as much to offer a guest as the Ötz Valley in Tyrol: kilometres of piste en masse and for all abilities, very modern lift systems, 150 kilometres of cross-country tracks, 200 kilometres of cleared winter hiking trails, rustic huts and in the evenings - depending on taste - an upbeat mood in the numerous discos and bars, a fun sledding party or night skiing... the list of possibilities is long.
The nice thing about the Ötz Valley's diversity is the selection. Quaint winter villages, the most prominent winter sports resorts, and not least the Aqua Dome, which promises rest and relaxation - all tastes are catered for here! Obergurgl/Hochgurgl - top of Ötztal!

High snow-security from November to May, pistes above the timberline, an impressive panorama of the surrounding mountains and the latest snow machines … these are just a few of the many reasons to go for a holiday in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl! The two, rather calm villages Obergurgl (1,930 m) and Hochgurgl (2,150 m) are to be found at the end of the Ötz Valley on the high alpine road to the Timmelsjoch. In the midst of this beautiful mountain scenery quality beats quantity – especially in Hochgurgl: The exclusive hotel village is made up of just six hotels. Obergurgl is traffic-reduced, at night all driving is completely forbidden! Doorstep skiing is possible in both resorts. The landscape is marked by the surrounding glacier scenery and the impressive mountain views. The atmosphere here is very quaint and the villages are renowned for their hut tradition with evenings spent in the huts and après ski.

The Ötz Valley is THE valley for winter sports fans. Sölden, Ober/Hochgurgl and Oetz im Ötztal are the most well-known ski areas in the Ötz Valley. A total of 292 kilometres of piste and 68 lift systems up to 3,249 m in altitude are waiting to be explored!
Perhaps the most popular ski area is Sölden. At an altitude of 1,377 - 3,250 m, Sölden is the only ski area with three 3,000 m high mountains, which can also be reached smoothly by lift. In Sölden there's something for everyone: from apres ski into the wee hours, to pure relaxation above the village, right up to diverse pistes... here everyone gets their money's worth.
The grandiose mountain landscape in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl stretches up to an altitude of 1,800 - 3,080 m, in which you can indulge in 110 kilometres of piste pleasure. The snow lasts from November to May, and should there not be enough, snow cannons will ensure there is a nice blanket of snow.

In the Ötz Valley there is also the insiders' tip Oetz. At 820 - 2,200 m you can find languorous winter hiking trails, lovely runs, snowy forests as well as pistes at every level of difficulty. Snow security is looked after by the snow cannons, which cover 80% of the ski area.
